A resident of Clermont since 1996, Lake County Commissioner Elaine Renick was elected to represent District 2 in 2006. A middle and high school teacher for 13 years, Renick is an active member of the community.
Through a number of local environmental groups, she is an ardent supporter of protecting the natural resources of Lake County. She has received awards from both the Sierra Club and Republicans for Environmental Protection, acknowledging her efforts to protect the environment.
Her interests include exercising at the National Training Center, boating on the Clermont Chain of Lakes, horseback riding, kayaking and reading.
