A lifelong resident in the Tavares area, Lake County Commissioner Debbie Stivender has represented District 3 since 2000. Her passion is to assist people in meeting their needs.
Stivender has more than 30 years of experience in many governmental areas. She was formerly the interim director of growth management, economic development director and airport manager for the City of Leesburg. In addition, she was employed by Lake County for 12 years in the Department of Growth Management.
During her civil service, Stivender also served on several county and city committees
and boards. Her interests include bowling, singing and going to the movies. She has
four children and six grandchildren.
