The Information Technology Department exists to provide the County with cost-efficient technology solutions.

The divisions within the Information Technology Department include:

Administrative Services
The Division handles budgeting, bill paying, staffing, training, planning, contract management, asset management and other day-to-day operations within the Department. Contact this Division at 352-343-9633 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Information Systems
The Division is responsible for maintaining the County network backbone and servers along with providing desktop support to more than 750 desktops and laptops throughout the County. Helping maintain electronic communication amongst employees and citizens is one of their primary roles. Contact the Information Systems helpdesk at 352-343-9633 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Geographic Information Services
This Division creates and maintains spatial information to aid in the creation of maps and data analysis to support County departments and their customers. Contact this Division at 352-343-9633 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. View the GIS Division Project Report FY 2009-2010.

Programming and Application Support Services (PASS)
This Division enables process redesign and automation through the use of technology. They are also responsible for maintaining installed applications and databases throughout the County and promoting the DataOne initiative. Contact this Division at 352-343-9633 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Records Management
This Division stores, references, retains and retrieves public documents generated by most County departments. Citizens make their request to the appropriate Lake County department and Records Management handles the requests from the departments. Telecommunications
This Division maintains the phone system for all of the constitutional offices of Lake County; this includes the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk of Courts, Property Appraiser, Sheriff, Supervisor of Elections and Tax Collector.
