Keep Lake Beautiful (KLB) seeks to lead the way to a cleaner and more beautiful Lake County by engaging citizens and encouraging community participation. KLB is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s leading nonprofit agency that focuses on building and maintaining vibrant communities.
The Keep Lake Beautiful Advisory Committee advises the Lake County Board of County Commissioners on activities related to maintaining affiliated membership in KLB and its programs. The Advisory Committee is made up of eight members including two elected municipal representatives, one business owner or chamber representative, one school board member or staff member, one civic organization member, and three citizen representatives who may each serve a term up to four years. The committee will meet monthly to discuss goal-setting, actions plans and community outreach.

Volunteers are needed to help clean up and beautify Lake County. Volunteers are needed to help the community clean up excess litter, and bring excess trash, tires (no larger than a passenger tire), and bulk items for proper disposal. Keep Lake Beautiful will provide gloves, vests, trash bags and water. Refreshments and T-Shirts will be provided to all registered volunteers. Community residents are being encouraged to take advantage of an opportunity to get rid of litter, trash and debris.
