The Board of County Commissioners goal is to share information and knowledge about County departments, programs and personnel with the community. It is important that Lake County citizens know and understand County operations, how to do business with the County and be aware of various County programs so they can take advantage of them if needed. It is the desire of Lake County leaders to establish relationships in the community so citizens can put a name and face together and feel free to contact County government.
Any resident may apply for the Citizens’ Academy. Class size is limited to 24 individuals with sessions lasting eight weeks. Classes last about three hours and include visits to various County facilities.
