Commissioner Wendy Breeden served as Lake County’s Public Resources Department Director from September 2009 through January 2016, which included oversight and administration of the Office of Parks and Trails, Office of Library Services, Office of Extension Services and the Lake County Fairgrounds. She began her career with Lake County as a Library Coordinator in 1992.
A graduate of Leesburg High School, Commissioner Breeden holds a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and a master’s degree in Library Science, both from Florida State University.
She has been a member of the American Library Association, the Central Florida Library Cooperative, the Florida Library Association, the State Library, Library Services & Technology Act (LSTA) Advisory Council, and a graduate of Leadership Lake class of 1995.
