Tavares – Lake County will be accepting same-day vaccine appointments for first doses today from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Appointments are based on vaccine availability.
Vaccinations are limited to the priority population outlined in Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' Executive Order 21-79. This includes individuals 40 and older, healthcare workers with direct patient contact, and long-term care facility residents and staff. In addition, individuals who are deemed by a physician to be extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 may receive the vaccine by presenting a completed form prescribed by the Florida Department of Health.
The scheduling application is available at https://scheduling.lakecountyfl.gov and will be accepting appointments today. Residents will need to bring a government-issued ID and proof of Florida residency.
