FOUND PETS

Thank you for keeping a stray pet safe!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SHELTER MAY BE THE BEST PLACE FOR THE OWNER TO BE REUNITED WITH THE LOST PET. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO SURRENDER THE PET FOR THE LEGAL HOLD TIME, AND MAY OFFER AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO ADOPT THE PET IF THE OWNER IS NOT FOUND.

Make sure the pet is posted on Lake County Lost and Found Pets Facebook Pages, community pages, and anywhere an owner might look. You can use FindingRover.com (with pet facial recognition technology) to list the found pet and to search through lost pets. You can register the pet on PawBoost.com.

If you would like to bring the pet to the shelter, please let us know when you are coming so we can better assist you when you arrive:

Thank You! We hope the pet is reunited with its family soon!

Be advised that healthy free-roaming cats are not admitted to the shelter. If you find a cat that is sick, injured, or that has bitten or scratched someone, please call LCSO Animal Enforcement at 352-742-4640.
