Assists in the direction and administration of operations of the County’s transit system. Responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating operations of the County’s Public Transportation program including Fixed Route and Transportation Disadvantaged services. Responsible for evaluating the system’s operational and transit needs and recommending and implementing improvements in services. Provides support to the Office of Transit Director in preparing the annual budget including allocations for federal and state funding and administration of grants.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
THIS POSITION WILL NOT BE FILLED BEFORE 10/1/2019.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field and five (5) years related experience with knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its applications to public transportation. Requires experience in public sector fleet operation and management. Requires a valid Florida Class “E” driver’s license.
