Legal Services (Family Protector Plan)

Lake County BCC Employees who are eligible for benefits now have the opportunity to enroll in a legal plan. This is an optional benefit the employee pays for each month that covers not only them but their families as well. U.S. Legal Services has designed their legal plan to make legal representation available and affordable to everyone. The plan covers the attorney's fee, but if there are any other court costs items, the responsibility of those fees falls on the member. The following are just a few services U.S. Legal Services provide:

  • Consumer Law
  • Consultations with Attorney
  • Traffic Violations
  • Divorce (There is a 15 hour per year limit on the use of Family Law coverage, which is supplemented by a 1/3 discount on the attorney's hourly fee thereafter.)

If you need to contact U.S. Legal, call 1-800-356-5297.
