Project Title: Replacement of CAB Generator

Project Description: The purpose of this solicitation is to select a qualified Contractor to replace the County’s existing emergency standby generator located inside the Central Energy Plant 75 (CEP) at 315 West Main St., Tavares, Florida. This generator is responsible for supply emergency power in the CEP 75 and the County Administration Building (CAB). The new on-site standby electrical power generation system must be appropriate for the location and conditions to replace the existing generator. The system must include, but not be limited to, engine-generator, cooling system, fuel delivery system, starting batteries, battery charger, block heater, circuit breaker, conduit, wire, fittings, accessories, fuel delivery system, exhaust system, installation, and any other items required to provide a complete operating system. The vendor must ensure that the proposed replacement will properly fit within the same location. This generator is an important part of the operations of the County. It is essential that the Contractor work closely with the County Project Manager to coordinate any power outages to the building. Any power outages will have to be scheduled for afterhours or on weekends. Such services must encompass furnishing adequate and appropriate labor, all needed parts and materials, supplies, equipment, permits, and supervision for the complete installation of an emergency generator in accordance with the specifications and terms and conditions contained within this RFP.

Submitting a Downloaded Bid Request
After downloading and completing the solicitation document(s), submit the original and the required number of copies in a sealed, envelope/package to the Office of Procurement Services. The envelope must include the project number, the closing date, and the proposer's name and address. A proposal submitted by telephone, fax or electronically will not be considered for award. The proposal package must be received and time-stamped in the Office of Procurement Services on or before the closing date and time.
