Project Title: AreaRAE System for Hazardous Material Detection

Project Description: The purpose of this solicitation is to purchase an air monitoring system (Rae Systems RDK Area Rae or equal) for Lake County Fire Rescue’s Hazmat Team. They system is used to conduct air monitoring in a large geographical area to assist with accurate decisions on the need for evacuations. The system will provide a level of security by providing early detection of chemical, biological, thermal and nuclear attacks. Lake County Fire Rescue’s Hazmat Team covers Lake County, all (12) municipalities in Lake County, Sumter County, assists Orange County and assists Seminole County on any hazmat related incident.

After downloading and completing the solicitation document(s), submit the original and the required number of copies in a sealed, envelope/package to the Office of Procurement Services. The envelope must include the project number, the closing date, and the proposer's name and address. A proposal submitted by telephone, fax or electronically will not be considered for award. The proposal package must be received and time-stamped in the Office of Procurement Services on or before the closing date and time.
